Basic Animation What you need to try is in the yellow boxes! Save this presentation in your Unit 2 folder

Slide Transitions Sets the way a slide will appear on the screen. Click on the “Transitions” Ribbon. Try at least two transitions from each category Modify the transition of this slide. Change the “speed” and “sound” too.

Text Animation Caution: It is very easy to get carried away with text animation. Your animations can’t be more interesting then what you’re trying to say. To apply a text animation click on the “Animations” tab Try a few animation schemes from each category on this slide.

Other Animations Select the ball to the right Click on “Add Animation” Apply few animations form each category

Multiple Animations Apply entrance animations to the happy faces. So that the red one comes in first, followed by the blue one then the black and green ones come in at the same time but from either side of the screen.

Animation Pane The Animation Pane lets you fine tune and modify the order of your animations. Open it up on a slide where you have several animations. Try reorder the animations.

Practice 1 Dora and Boots need your help to help them get to the Music box! Apply Motion Paths to move them along the path. Practice 1

Practice 2 Apply the same cool slide transition to every slide in the presentation.

Practice 3 1.Apply entrance animations to these four points. 2.The first point should appear when you click the mouse. 3.The other points should automatically appear one at a time. 4.The time between each point should be about 5 seconds.

Practice 4 Create a little cartoon car crash. You can have two cars hit each other or a car hit a wall. (Try out some of the sound effects!)

Practice 5 Use the drawing tools to make a Turkey. Then apply entrance animations so that the turkey parts come together one at a time.

What’s next? Next class we will be adding media to a slide show. Bring a favorite mp3 song, a short video and some head phones.
