Defining GLITS Trade Show - an event in which goods and services in a specific industry are exhibited and demonstrated Exposition - a public exhibition or show, as of artistic or industrial developments; a formal meeting of members, representatives, or delegates, as of a political party, fraternal society, profession, or industry Summit - A conference or meeting of high-level leaders, usually called to shape a program of action

History An event for the diversified manufacturing community Over twenty years ago it started as the Industrial Expo to showcase products to the community that were made in the region Has progressed into a premier trade show for companies to meet with prospective buyers and suppliers, as well as provides a bridge between the region’s workforce and industry seeking skilled workers

Job Fair The Great Lakes Industrial Technology Summit will use proceeds to fund engineering scholarships for locally bound college students The future of strengthening our industrial economy lies in a solid knowledge base of workers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics The Balmer scholarship, given in the junior year of a 4- year program goes to 5 students every year with a total of $100,000 awarded in the last 10 years
