What are basic functions of organisms? 1- getting food 2- getting energy from that food 3-using the energy from that food and letting go of things that are no longer needed like wastes

We are like our cells only bigger. Because we need these basic functions our cells need them also. If our cells are thirsty, we go get a drink. If our cells are hungry, we go get food. If our cells need to get rid of wastes, we go to the bathroom.

How do our cells get food? Animal cells get food when we go to McDonalds and eat food. Heterotroph. Plant cells can’t send the plant to McDonalds, they turn to the sun and absorb the suns radiant energy to make their food. Autotroph.
