Stingray Bay Stingray bay is also the mouth of the Merri river. The beach is very shallow but further out where the river joins the sea it is very deep and dangerous. The Surf Club The surf club is the main beach in Warrnambool and most of the beach activities are held there. There is a nippers club here too.

McGennans McGennans is another main beach but there are smaller waves. In summer some people come here to teach kids how to surf, as the small waves are good for learning.

Great Ocean Road The road to viewing By Clare

Facts About the Great Ocean Road Work on the Great Ocean Road started in 1919 after soldiers returned from World War 1. The soldiers made the road as a memorabilia to those lost in the war. On the Great Ocean Road you will find the Twelve Apostles.(as seen on prior slide) These tall rocks are one of the main reasons tourists come to see the Great Ocean Road as well as the luscious rainforest
