Survey A method of gathering information

Classify To group pieces of data according to how they are the same such as by size, color, or shape Examples: You can classify by shape. You can classify by color

Line Plot A graph that records each piece of data on a number line Example:

Mode The number found most often in a set of data Example: The mode of 1, 3, 4, 4, and 6 is 4.

Range The difference between the greatest number and the least number in a set of data = 6 55– 49

Circle Graph A graph in the shape of a circle that shows data as a whole made up of different parts.
