He has held positions of increasing technical and management responsibility, beginning with the Automotive Systems Division of Hitachi Corporation from ; Manager for Advanced Technology Systems and Manager of e-Business for Toyota Canada Inc. from From , he was principally involved with building and leading Toyota's North America R&D, where he served as General Manager and Chief Technologist. As Technical Director for the 3M SEMS Corporate Research Lab, he is responsible for an approximately 200 person global operation that provides exceptional value to 3M through research, external relationships and commercialization excellence.
