Serving the Children of the World Organization Structure Kiwanis International is the worldwide organization to which each Kiwanis club and member belongs. It is administered by the Kiwanis International Board of Trustees. Our Georgia District is 1 of 53 districts in Kiwanis International. Our Division is one of 18 divisions in the Georgia District. Our Club is one of 11 clubs in Division 2. Size and structure often dictate the number of officers.

This earns points towards an outstanding Kiwanian Status for members attending. They may also be used for make-up meetings.

They had a snow storm on the first day – but had a big turnout anyway –It was held at Taylor Street Middle School and Spalding High School for several years –It is now being held at our Kiwanis of Griffin Center

Serving the Children of the World Finances/Budgeting Administrative Account –Income from club dues, meal charges, new member fees. Account is used for club administration and meals.

Serving the Children of the World Finances/Budgeting Service Account –Income from public fund-raising projects or contributions and cannot be used to pay administrative expenses of the club. Income from the Fair and Pancake Day. The Fair income is used to fund community projects. Pancake Day income is used for scholarships.

Serving the Children of the World Finances/Budgeting Fair Association Account –Income is from Ticket Sales, Food Booth, Booth Rentals, and the Carnival. –It is used for the Fair Expenses, Office Expenses and for the Service Account.

Serving the Children of the World Finances/Budgeting Foundations –Base Foundation – Used for donations to the Kiwanis Club. This fund is in CDs and Interest Accrued above $100, may be used for Charitable Purposes. –Fair Association Foundation – Donations to this fund is from the yearly fair. This fund is set aside to be used for fairground improvements.

Serving the Children of the World Service Projects Kiwanis One Day – Kiwanis International day of service – It is observed in early April – Hands on project to assist local organizations that relate to children

Serving the Children of the World Conventions The Annual Kiwanis International Convention is an excellent event, which allows clubs from around the world to exchange ideas, participate in forums, and share fellowship. The District Convention is the kickoff for the new Kiwanis year, which runs from October to September. Club officers and interested members attend. The District Midyear Conference gives members an opportunity to attend classes and forums about club operation and other exciting topics.
