Shelley D Kelley Career Minded Person willing to work hard for your company.

How Can I Help You I will serve as the first point of contact;  Representing the company in a professional manner; greeting clients/customers including answering calls with effective communication, friendliness and professionalism.  Will provide confidentiality and decorum through the professional routing and control of calls.  Proficient in all applications in Microsoft Office Suite: Word processing, Excel, Power Point and data entry.  I am ready to assist by performing a variety of office duties.

TEAM PLAYER  It is absolutely essential to be able to work both independently and as a team player in order to successfully contribute to the companies bottom line.  I believe my role as a Team Player will be to have full knowledge of all projects coming into the company. Being an active listener helps me maintain service orientation while assisting with presentations, and successful project scheduling, making sure there are no ”gaps” in the flow pattern.  All of the above mentioned cannot happen unless you are well organized. I possess the organization skills needed to be a great asset to your company and your clients.  I currently Co-Teach in a Business Computer Applications Class.

Office Equipment  Looking for someone who knows their way around the computer? I am proficient in all applications in Microsoft Office Suite: Word processing, Excel, Power Point and data entry.  Proficient in all office equipment from making copies to transmitting and delivering facsimiles, performing Internet searches, updating and or creating appointment calendars and maintaining a file and record system, both electronically and paper based.  I accurately key 35 wpm.

Knowledge  As an Administrative Assistant it will be my job to have the knowledge and possess the required skills in management functions and technology, including organization and scheduling, document preparation, electronic record keeping, internet communications, customer service and public relations.  I have the knowledge and skills to accomplish this.

SKILLS  Served as a representative for companies in direct contact with important clients, suppliers and other notable contacts.  Possess effective communication skills in both electronic and paper based forms.  Word Processing Specialist with data entry skills (10 Key).  Have managed calendars, set/canceled appointments and have generated meeting and appointment reminders.  Monitored and purchased office supplies.  Have event planning skills.

STRENGTHS  Strengths:  I react strongly to the needs to people and animas alike. I have a great compassion for both. Which is probably one of the many reasons I stayed with Del Norte High school for so long. I not only cater to the needs of the students but also to the people at Palo Duro Senior Center which is where I take my students to volunteer.  I am dependable someone you can rely on. I have strong work ethics and integrity.

WEAKNESS  Weaknesses:  I am quick to react when something needs to be done that isn’t being done.  This could lead some to believe that I am pushy or even bossy. This type of reaction could easily intimidate a peer by looking like I am taking a superior authoritative role.  I have to be aware of how my actions might be viewed and how I approach the things I do so that I can be a positive influence rather that a negative force. I want to strive to be a team builder.

Education  STRATFORD CAREER INSTITUTE 6/ /2012  Taking a certification course for Administrative Assistant. Upon full-payment of course will receive diploma/certificate of completion.  Albuquerque, NM (TVI) 8/1995-5/1997  AA degree in Arts and Sciences

Stress Management  Time Management is key to having a low stress environment. Time is money and managing that time is essential.  Having a list of daily duties helps in having a well organized office, leaving room for the unexpected.  Maintaining a well kept calendar of your day and others gives office personnel an idea of where everyone is and who is able to take on the unexpected duties that can occur from time to time.  Having an after work activity such as going to the gym or getting out for a good tennis game is a great way to clear the mind.

What I am Looking For  A full time Receptionist Position. Interfacing with staff. Performing administrative tasks.  Working for a company that will utilize my skills and abilities.  Working for a company that’s friendly and outgoing.

Shelley D Kelley  Willing to work hard for your company.  Hopefully this has given you a little more information about me. I truly believe given the opportunity I will be a great asset to your office staff. I am a hard worker who takes her career seriously. I believe in being ethical at all times and hold myself to high level of integrity and moral, standards.  Thank you for your time and consideration Respectfully Submitted, Shelley D. Kelley
