The Afterlife  The Egyptians wore a mask of the god Anubis.  For the Egyptians,death wasn’t the end of life, it was just at rest waiting to wake back up again.  A priest performed the" Opening of the Mouth “ ceremony for the mummy, the priest did incantations to restore all the senses to the body.
