Mechanism of Action Antihistamine Works to reduce the amount of natural histamine that accumulates in the body Blocks histamine from binding to histamine receptors Its principal effects are mediated via selective inhibition of peripheral H1 receptors In vivo and ex vivo animal models have shown negligible anticholinergic and antiseratonergic activity In clinical trials dry mouth was more common in users of the drug than placebo users

Uses Treats both seasonal and perennial allergy symptoms such as watery eyes, runny nose, itching eyes, and sneezing Can also be used to treat hives

Directions/Cost Taken once a day, with or without food Chew tablet thoroughly before swallowing May cause drowsiness Don’t consume alcoholic beverages The full effect can be seen after a few weeks $26.99 for 45 tablets. Lasts 24 hours

Side Effects Drowsiness, fatigue, or dry mouth Stomach pain or vomiting is possible for children If you experience yellowing of eyes or skin, dark urine, or continual fatigue then contact your doctor immediately If an allergic reaction to the medicine happens, immediately stop usage and contact your doctor
