iTACITUS Enhancing Cultural tourism The iTacitus project aims to: 1.Improve access to information in cultural heritage sites by providing access to rich content including augmented reality through a hand held device. 2.Improve the accessibility of cultural heritage sites and overall experience of cultural tourists by enabling customised personalised walking and public transport tours of urban areas. iTACITUS Receives Funding from the European Commissions IST Programme: IST

Summary – What is iTACITUS iTACITUS is a service that aims to provide a bespoke tourist experience for the individual, based upon a dispersed repository of historical and cultural resources, enabling both location-based and location- independent services. The services provided will include audiovisual, VR and organisational components, and will be delivered in a flexible and timely fashion.
