What is E-Recruiting? E-Recruiting is a web-based system enhancing the University of Tennessee’s ability to manage its employment process. Requisition & Posting Application Recruit Interview Hire Reporting

When Will I Use E-Recruiting? Need to Hire a New Employee? Use E-Recruiting to: Submit requisition. View candidate data. Approve job offer through electronic workflow. Seeking a Transfer? Use E-Recruiting to: Search for vacant positions. Update your information. Apply for the vacancy.

Components of E-Recruiting Requisitions Electronic process to create job requisitions (requests to search). Position information available from IRIS such as titles, funding sources, job descriptions, and qualifications. Applying for Jobs Online searches for vacant positions. Ability to search for jobs at all campuses/institutes. Ability to apply online. Recruiting/Interviewing/Hiring Online viewing of candidate data. Approvals/notifications for job offers through workflow. Electronic transfer of applicant data to IRIS. Reporting Compliance Reports. Standardized Reports.

Advantages of E-Recruiting Enhanced online job search and process to apply for positions. Basic requisition information defaulted from the position. Reduce time spent sending and receiving documents, notifications, and approvals. Hiring departments/search committees may review documents online. Electronic transfer of applicant data.

When Will E-Recruiting be Available? E-Recruiting will be available October 2006 for selected types of vacancies. Large group information sessions will begin in late September. Specific dates will be announced for your location. Your local campus will coordinate hands-on training and open lab sessions.
