Where he was from and sailed for, Background and Why he went on his Voyages. Vasco de Balboa sailed and was from Spain. Vasco de Balboa grew up as a poor boy in Spain. Then he went on voyages to become rich from gold. Vasco de Balboa went to Central America on one of his voyages.

Impact positive/negative  Negative- On one of his voyages he got his head cut off in panama. The people who cut off Vasco de Balboa’s head were jealous of his success.  Positive- On one of Vasco de Balboa’s voyages, he went to Central America. On that very Voyage, he found the Pacific Ocean.

Vasco de balboas routes Vasco de Balboa went from Spain to lots of places in the world. He was the first one to sail around the cape of good hope to get to Asia.
