The obstacles he faced were that he had to cross jungles and mountains in Panama

His accomplishment is that he was the first one to discovered the Pacific Ocean in the east

4. Juan ponce de Leon He represents Spain
His obstacles were he fought with the natives
His purpose is looking for gold and the legendary fountain of youth
His achievement is he claimed Florida for Spain

5. Hernando de soto He represented the Spanish
His obstacles he faced were disease, did not establish any colonies, and he did not find any gold
His purpose is looking for gold
His accomplishment is he found the Mississippi river
