15 SPAIN - Ferdinand Magellan https://youtu.be/Y94s85-Crew He sailed from Spain to the Eastern coast of South America and found a strait at the southern tip of South America. Magellan named the Pacific Ocean. His crew circumnavigated the globe, but Magellan died before that happened.
