Training for Tomorrow – Why? Why is IWT being offered? –Business and Economic Development for Kane, Kendall and DeKalb counties –Create/retain jobs in our area –Develop a more highly skilled workforce –Assist local businesses to boost market share and competitiveness County Department of Employment & Education and River Valley Workforce Investment Board

What is it? Financial assistance for businesses to enhance current employees’ job-related skills $15,000 reimbursable per employer $50,000 reimbursable for consortium of employers Employers match of 10, 25 or 50 % based upon size –Match does not have to be in cash –Match can be in the form of: »Salaries, »Travel expenses, »Employee benefits, etc. County Department of Employment & Education and River Valley Workforce Investment Board
