Project Planning Assignment Create a project plan for accomplishing your given task: Pick a number 1-7 Change the wheel on a car. Host a children's birthday party. Teach someone to swim. Grow tomatoes. Set up a fish aquarium. Create a personal page on a social networking website. Cook breakfast

Managing Resources Use the following management resources to create your plan. Be creative! Finance (keeping records, setting budgets) Purchasing (equipment, supplies, goods, negotiations) Production (scheduling, raw materials to finished product, packaging, etc.) Marketing and Distribution (sales strategies, advertising, direct/indirect sales efforts) Research and Development (new products/services, improve good/service)

Cook a Roast Dinner Finance (keeping records, setting budgets)  Budget my ingredients needed for dinner.  Estimate how much everything is going to cost.  Value what I’ve already purchased Purchasing (equipment, supplies, goods, negotiations)  Look for sales in flyers  Identify what cookware and utensils I need  Inventory check on what I have and what I need to buy. Production (scheduling, raw materials to finished product, packaging, etc.)  Budget my cooking and preparation time  When to cook the individual items so that they are all hot and cooked near the same time  Make gravy/marinade using ingredients.

Cooking a Roast Dinner Marketing and Distribution (sales strategies, advertising, direct/indirect sales efforts)  “Sell” my roast dinner by how I present it on the plate.  What’s its paired with.  Music?
