Catholic Charities of Tompkins/Tioga Counties reports a 33% increase in need for personal care items from last year and with United Way support were able to distribute 13,644 Personal Care Items in 2009

Tompkins Community Action reports a 20%-30% increase in demand for all services this year 4,664 individuals received food & household items through Tompkins Community Action in 2009

Tompkins County Emergency Feeding Program Requests for food: 143,681 in 2009 an increase of 8,305 from 2008

Greater Ithaca Activities Center – 50 Served 120 Area Youth are eating hot healthy meals 5 nights per week express less stress about food security
