3 File classification: NOT PROTECTIVELY MARKED - IMPACT LEVEL 0 The Plan Outline Commission Strategy – Prevention, Recovery, Continued Support Corporate Improvement Project on Ageing Better Key Principles: 1.To promote a vision for Adult Social Care that stresses the importance of independence 2.Increase collaborative working with key partners 3.Engage with and build the capacity of communities 4.Market development 5.Commission recovery and enablement services 6.Develop a range of more flexible locally-based housing and support, 7.Co-producing solutions 8.Provide cost effective solutions

7 File classification: NOT PROTECTIVELY MARKED - IMPACT LEVEL 0 Ageing Better – Lottery Bid £70m to be distributed across 15 – 20 local authority areas to tackle social isolation in older people Minimum of £2m for each area EOI submitted this week – 100 authorities have been asked to apply If successful, would be managed by a partnership, led by a voluntary sector organisation
