This task uses: Common Core State Standards Sequencing Story Events 1 Objective: TLW utilize computer based timeline program to create a timeline, sequencing story events, based on a System 44/Read 180 Book. Timeline- available through ReadWriteThink.org CCSS Grade 4 Reading Standards Literature: 3 Describe in depth a character, setting, or event(s) in a story, drawing on specific details in the text. 1.Tap the Timeline app and enter your name where asked. 2.Choose an image by pressing arrow buttons, then click CHOOSE IMAGE, CONFIRM. Select your name icon- tap. 3.At the next screen type in a project title using this format: Your name/Book Title. Click START. 4.At the timeline, click/tap the timeline near the left end to create your first entry. 5.When the box opens, Title your label. You need to include at least 8 events/labels from the story including: introduction, beginning, middle, rising action, conflict, conflict resolution, and end. These will be your label titles. A Brief description not required. An image is required that matches your text. 6.Type a description of each event in the story at least three sentences in each box. Include a picture to represent this part of the story. Match the pictures as best as possible with events, not the cover! When complete with each box Click DONE. 7.You can then move your box above or below the line using your finger. 8.Repeat this step, by touching another spot on the timeline and creating a new box for each label. When done, click the FINISH arrow. 9.Click SEND FINAL tab. Put your name in the first box as a descriptive name for your file. 10.Enter my *BONUS- include specific character action below/above the event from the text by quoting the character, or narrator and cite page number.
