Annual Student Survey 2010

IHS makes learning exciting and encourages me to continue my education.

IHS provides a learning environment in which all students can excel and succeed.

IHS provides a strong foundation in the use of technology.

Students and parents are regularly notified concerning academic progress.

IHS teachers are knowledgeable about the curriculum being taught.

IHS teachers adapt their instruction to help all students learn.

My teachers have similar expectations.

My teachers communicate with each other.

My teachers talk about what is going on in other classes.

IHS provides an atmosphere where students feel they belong.

Students have chances to talk freely with their teachers.

School staff members listen to student ideas and suggestions.

Student concerns are taken seriously by staff.

If I have an academic problem, I receive the help I need from school staff.

If I have an emotional or social problem, I receive the help I need from school staff.

Students and teachers spend time together outside the structured classroom setting.

I eat breakfast in the morning.

I get enough sleep.

I enjoy coming to school.

I have the supplies that I need for class each day.

IHS counselors are helpful in the selection of a path to follow after high school.

Overall, the service provided by the guidance office and counselors is valuable in preparing me for life after graduation.

Participation in extracurricular activities is an important part of the high school experience.

There are a variety of opportunities for students who would like to participate in extracurricular activities.

I currently participate in extracurricular activities/teams/clubs.
