Cardenden Heat & Power Developed by OVHA in partnership with others Biomass waste wood fired energy centre 5.2 Megawatts system Site at Jamphlars, on western outskirts of Cardenden Heat and hot water to 2000+homes and other buildings Major engineering project Value circa £35 million Aim is to commence work early 2015 and will take 18 months Cardenden will become a building site! Still some hurdles to overcome – network, funding etc Community Engagement ongoing
