Goals & Objectives 1. Increase the Quality and Quantity of Student Engagement in Research Enhancement of Current Programs   Short-Term Goal(s) STEM Clubs Add research component to STEM Clubs Bringing current research to STEM Cubs (via Skype Classroom or similar programs) Re-think “Invention Convention” PD in terms of introducing research and inquiry to elementary students Additional opportunities for research to EiE units Enhance Educator Academy at AzSEF Creation of New Programming Opportunities Explore PD opportunities with Cora Beth Abel (Massachusetts) Create a PD on how to mentor a student Create a PD on inquiry as it relates to independent student research Coding as a tool to support research Explore opportunities to utilize Design Squad for programming Create PD around CREATE at Arizona Science Center Spark Fund EPICS Make a Difference Not Impossible Labs Identify and support a small cohort of research teachers as potential mentors/trainers Explore the use of Intel Engage as an online community for educators Explore potential partnerships between lab/organizations for research opportunities and mentors Using SFAZ research mentor pool?
