2 Intel ISEF Educator Academy Intel ® Education Programs High Level Goals What do you want to accomplish for your school, region or country? Look at long-term (3-5 years) and short-term goals (1-2 years) –Long term goals –Stimulate interest in science courses and scientific research and inquiry in K-12 –Develop current STEM curriculum –Develop a policy to encourage science fairs in K-12 –Develop a platform for teacher training –Short term goals –Inform all middle and high schools about TUBITAK’s science fair support programs –Make at least one teacher responsible from each middle and high school as a science fair facilitator –Make more documents and guidelines available for teachers and students who want to participate in the national science fair 2

3 Intel ISEF Educator Academy Intel ® Education Programs 3 Objectives How will you know you succeeded? –Student participation in science fairs will be increased 10% over a three year period –Establish academic committee for a curriculum development of each subject area for grade 5 through 12 –Develop reward system for advisors and successful students –1-5 annual teacher training programs for each provinces depending on population will be held –Make web-based teacher training programs available for the science fairs –Prepare and send brochures to each middle and high schools annually –Adapt web-based and media advertisement –Determine an assigned responsible teacher yearly for each school
