Look at long-term (3-5 years) and short-term goals (1-2 years) Examples –Long term goals –Complete & comprehensive Education Transformation: –Implement science inquiry in secondary schools –Issued policies to institutionize & encourage science research of students secondary schools. –Make science fairs becomes a normal norm for all country within 3 years. –Short term goals –Review the STEM policy & Science Fair –Establish a bank of mentors to assist students research & evaluation. –Improve scientific review and judging at provincial levels 4

Please list the results you want to see -50/63 cities/provinces participate in National Science Fair. -Schools, students (now about 300k) participation in Affiliated Fairs increases 200% over a 3-year period. -Train 925 mentors (Master trainers) on science teaching during the 2013-2014 school year & 400 scientist from Institute & Universities on judging projects based on Intel ISEF rules. -Systemic curriculum changes underway; 3,000 teachers trained in Project Based Learning in 2013-2014. - Issue scientific research hand book for students & improve the existing Websites to support teachers & students. - Issue a formal policy to mobilize the resources from several economic & social institutions to support the scientific research of secondary school students.
