What is an Engineer? someone who fixes your car, your house electrics or boiler? someone who ‘does engineering’ ? an ‘applied scientist’? The Engineering Council says: “engineering is the practice of creating and sustaining services, systems, devices, machines, structures, processes and products to improve the quality of life; getting things done more effectively and efficiently”

What is an Engineer? Almost everything around you is there because of an engineer  If an engineer didn’t design it, then an engineer made it fit-for-purpose! So how do I get here? Typical offers A/AS-level: 340 UCAS tariff points, typically AAB (BEng), or 360 UCAS tariff points, typically AAA (MEng), A-level maths and physics required with a minimum of grade B in A-level maths BTEC: DDD in ND in a relevant subject, including D in Further Maths (BEng) IB: 30 (BEng), or 32 (MEng), including 6 in high level maths and physics. Foundation Year also available: 200 UCAS points including A-level maths and physics

So how do I get here? The Lord Mayor of London Scholarships for Academic Excellence The Scholarship amount for UK and EU students starting an undergraduate course at City in September 2013 ranges from up to £2,000 per year for students achieving grades ABB at 'A' level (or equivalent*) toor equivalent up to £3,000 per year for those achieving AAB (or equivalent*).or equivalent

As a graduate, you will have gained… a solid grounding in the principles and applications of Electronic, Computer Systems, Telecommunications or Biomedical Engineering and the role of engineering businesses in a sustainable world; the knowledge and skills to face current engineering challenges such as the sustainable and secure development of transport and energy supply.
