14 Optional 5 th Year (Masters) 5 Year Programmes  All programmes offered by the School of Electronic Engineering, and the School of Mechanical & Manufacturing engineering offer an optional 5 th year to gain the Masters qualification & bring students in line with the Engineers Ireland Chartered Engineer requirements.

15 Entry Requirements So what do you need? B.Eng Courses:  You need to make the general DCU entry requirements: HC3 in 2 honours and 4 passes overall  Leaving Cert Honours Maths?  HC3 or higher B.Sc in Manufacturing Engineering with Business Studies  D3 at Higher level, or C3 at Ordinary level maths  D3 in Higher level in a science subject

16 Open Opportunities  Available to a small number of students  Interview based  Successful completion of Open Opportunities course allows entry into either 1 st or 2 nd year of the B.Eng programmes  To be considered, you must list DCU programme on CAO application
