Development Steps Electronic Curriculum Development System (ECD) Follow steps for new course development Tech Review with Curriculum Chair Curriculum Committee approval Academic Senate approval District approval California State Chancellor’s Office approval

New Course Characteristics Same as other approved courses MUST align to a degree or certificate If the new course is part of a new certificate or program Obtain local approval only and submit course together with the degree/program Narrative application Recommendation: Develop the certificate or program plan concurrently.
