4 Overall Curriculum Timeline
The approval process for courses and programs always works approximately a year in advance because: Courses and programs need to approved/chaptered by the State Chancellor’s Office and All must be printed in the college catalog before being offered The Spring Addendum is being finalized (available in October) Courses and programs to be included in the catalog must make it through local approvals this fall (available in mid/late April)

5 What’s up next? Fall submission window for new courses/programs proposed for Spring 2021. New Courses New Course Initiation form Due September 30th New course proposals are then: Vetted by the Curriculum Office Approved by the Curriculum Committee then, Once approved, the courses are put into CurricUNET by the faculty initiator by November 22nd Return to the Curriculum Committee for Information and Action Then to Academic Senate, BOT, and State

6 New Programs New Program Initiation form Due September 30th
New program proposals are then: Vetted by the Curriculum Office Approved by the Curriculum Committee Credit CTE Programs (only) need to be submitted to LAOCRC for data request and recommendation Completed Program packet due by November 22nd Returns to the Curriculum Committee for Information and Action Then to Academic Senate, Consultation Council, BOT, and State

7 Revised Programs revision triggers
If there is a Prefix, Number, Title, or Unit change to a course already in a program, it triggers a Program Revision If a newly developed course will be added to a program, it triggers a Program Revision Completed paperwork for all program revisions is due November 22nd Your Curriculum Leads can help with this process!
