Supervised Study - Make appointment with teacher to review - Peer tutoring – coming soon! Communication - Monthly newsletter - Team site - Epic Legacy awards, contact home for positives Getting in touch - Please us! Whole-child learning - Educate academically, socially, emotionally, etc. Redo/Retake assignments - Varies by teacher/assignment; requires action plan
Initial assignment - Read & reread directions & target - Review notes and/or section in textbook - Ask for help/clarification when the assignment is first given - Check Homework Connection & Canvas (especially in the case of an absence) After the assignment is scored - Read over your score and comments - Make an appointment with teacher during Sup. Study to discuss work - Make an appointment to meet with teacher, family & student (last option)
Infinite Campus - 24/7 access to grades, comments, etc. -No surprises! Once a grade is entered, it’s “live” - Shows scores, comments, and other notes from teachers (missing, exempt, late, etc.) Family conversations - At least once a week - Review Infinite Campus, progress, strengths, accomplishments, areas that need improvement - Ask to see artifacts/examples of work Self-advocacy - Encourage students to meet with teachers to problem solve - Set up teacher/family/student conference after all other strategies have been exhausted
