Early Life  He was born in 1809 in Kentucky  At age 9 he moved to Illinois  Also at age 9 his mom died  He loved reading books and read by the fire every night  His father made him cut wood even though he didn’t like it

Family Life His dad sent him to become a lawyer. He found that he was not interested in being a lawyer. He was married to Mary Todd Lincoln on November 4, I834. They had 4 sons named Robert, Edward, William, and Thomas.

Presidency  Abraham Lincoln was elected for president in I86I.  He ran with his vice president Hannibal Hamlin.  He tried to end slavery because he saw what they went through.  After that he tried to end the Civil war,but slavery did not cause it.

Assassination  Abraham Lincoln went to the movie theater and watched “Our American Cousin”.  The assonate waited for the funniest part to hope that the sound of laughter wound cover the gun shot.  He shot Lincoln in the back of the head with a 44-caliber Derringer.  The person who killed Abe was John Wilkes Booth.
