When there was a part of land that had rich soil, they would grow what to make bread. There was a lot of fish and the Greeks mostly drank wine. Greek Clothing All the Greek clothing were simple. In the summer men and women wore linen and in the winter, they wore wool. The Greeks bought their clothes at an agora, which is a market place, but the clothes were expensive. In Most families, they made their own clothes. They made tunics and warm cloaks out of linen or wool. When they were finished they dyed it with bright colors. Women or slave mostly made clothes. Topic 3 Men and women in Greece enjoyed using mirrors and hairbrushes. One type of style they did was curling their hair They would put a special design on it and hold it up with lotion or scented wax. The women kept their hair braided, long, arranged on top of their heads or held up in a ponytail. Also, head bands made of ribbon or metal were very popular. Finally, blond hair was very rare. The Greeks admired it and some tried bleaching their own hair. If you would like more information, go on http://greece.mrdonn.org/hairstyles.html
