Public buildings built in the Greek classical style lined the Agora. 1 of 3 The Glory of Ancient Greece Section 1: Daily Life in Athens At Home in Athens Greek women maintained their simple mud-brick homes and, if rich, supervised slaves. Only poor women worked outside the home. They prepared simple meals, which rarely included meat.
