Staying at a hotel

Hotel words Sauna (n): a type of bath in which you sit or lie in a small room. Lounge (n): a public place in a hotel for waiting or relaxing. A public bar (n): a bar in a pub with simple or less comfortable furniture than the other bars. Mini-bar (n): a small fridge in a hotel room, with drinks in it for guest to use. Night club (n): a place that is open late in the evening where people go to dance or drink . A view (n): something attractive to see out of the window. Credit card (n): a way of paying without paying cash.

Hotel words To check in (v): to tell the receptionist you have arrived at the hotel. To check out (v): to tell the receptionist that you leave the hotel at the end of your stay. To book a room (v): to arrange to stay at the hotel. To pay the bill (v): to give the hotel money to pay for your stay. To reserve (n): to ask for a seat, table, room to be available at a future time  reservation (n): an arrangement for a seat, table or room at the hotel.

Half-board: a type of accommodation at a hotel, that includes a breakfast and an evening meal Full-board: a type of accommodation at a hotel that includes all meals

A suitcase: a case with flat sides and a handle, used for carrying clothes, etc. when you are traveling Luggage: bags, cases, etc that contain somebody’s clothes and things when they are traveling A lift and an elevator? A lift: a machine that carries people or goods up and down to different level in a building or a mine. A elevator: a part in the tail of an aircraft that is moved to make it go up and down.
