2 Guest room design The length and width of the guest room are determined by the amount of furniture that is to go into the room and by the degree of luxury Things to consider: Types of rooms like twin bed, double room, suite etc. Size of the bed and headboard. Aisle width should be minimum of 90cm. Placement of the dresser with drawers to open. Seating facility. Eg. Chair, sofa, low table etc. usually placed near the window. Lighting- reading lights for the bed, lamp near the seating facility, dresser etc. These may be supplemented with additional light to create a pleasant ambience in the room . The control switches of these lights must be carefully considered .

3 Another desirable furniture is luggage stand.
Bathrooms- The minimum bathroom will have a tub/shower, a lavatory, and a washbasin. Closet/Wardrobe- The size of a closet will be determined by the type of hotel. While locating closets, opening of doors should be considered. There are two types of closets- walk-in closet & reach-in closet.
