Subculture that consists of:  people that go to fairs, festivals and raves all of the time.  One of the more famous festivals is called StereoSonic.  These same people speak a lot of slang that doesn’t have real meaning per say, but people understand.

 Values: respect women, other people's beliefs, democracy, and their friends. Are a tolerant society. They try to enjoy life.  They believe in having a good life and having fun. They seem to be a very simple society.

 Russians value going to the extremes, open- heartedness and hospitality. Those among other things. They do complain about their problems.  In Russia, it appears to be normal for people to talk about their problems and such to complete strangers.

 9 th largest economy  Jobs in oil, natural gases, metals and timber account for 80% of Russia’s exports.

 13 th largest economy  One of the most developed economies in the world.  Major industries consist of agriculture, mining, tourism and manufacturing industries.

 Soviet era  Allies in both WW1 and WW2  Massive inflation and economic collapse in early 1990s and again in  Communist country to a Federal semi- presidential republic.  President and prime minister are both active participants in the administration of the state.

 Rescession and drought in the 1890s.  By 1901, 3.1mil and growing rapidly.  Commonwealth of Australia - January 1,  Allies in both World War 1 and World War 2  Population today is about 22mil.

 In Russia, thousands are protesting against the presidential election results. They accuse Vladamir Putin of stealing the vote. At least 15%.  Australians are making their Muslim veil laws more strict. They have to remove veils to have their signatures officially witnessed.

 With Russia’s culture, it interested me that 80% of Russia’s exports consisted of oil, natural gases, metals and timber.  I like that they value open-heartedness and hospitality.  I dislike that they complain about their problems.

 I find Australia’s subcultures and people in general to be very interesting.  I like their subculture’s.  I dislike how tolerant they are because that isn’t always good.

 I stand neutral with living in Russia. Mainly because I like America 10x more but I do like the cold.  I would like to live in Australia because they are extremely laid back and the people just seem easy to get along with.

 I prefer living in my own country because I am used to it and it’s better than every other country out there. Although, I do like Australia a lot and would love to visit the country. I just wouldn’t want to live there.
