Welcome to Red Rock Central’s virtual tour! Our school has two campuses that are located in Lamberton, Minnesota (High School) and Jeffers, Minnesota (Elementary). Both provide nothing but the best educational and extra-curricular opportunities for our students. This tour is designed to highlight what our school has to offer to its students. Welcome to Red Rock Central!

Football In the last 13 years, the team has captured 2 section titles, 2 runner-ups, and 3 conference championships. We play in the Southern MN Conference, and look to build commitment, character, and discipline. Cheerleading Cheerleading has different squads throughout the year. In the fall, they strongly support the football team. In the winter, there are squads for the basketball teams and the wrestling team. Cross Country WWG/RRC cross country has developed an emerging program and has shown steady improvement in the past few years. Volleyball The RRC Volleyball team plays 15 matches throughout the year. Home games are played in Jeffers. Players improve in the off- season by summer camp, made available two nights a week. Solo Spike equipment is also provided. Fall Sports

Speech The speech team consists of students in grades 7-12 interested in competing in one of 13 different categories. Our organization focuses on becoming a successful speaker which is a valuable asset to any occupation. Band and Choir The Red Rock Central school district enjoys a “Top 100 Communities for Music Education in America” award, presented in 2005 by the American Music Conference. We maintain a large percentage of student involvement in our music program at RRC with participation opportunities in a variety of ensembles. Both high school band and choir have maintained superior ratings at contest and earned over 175 superior medals in the spring of Collectively, our department appears in a minimum of 30 public performances each year. Drama This department gives students a chance to participate in 3 productions during the year. The three productions are the fall, one act, and spring play.

Students from the tri- state area gather annually at RRC to take part and perform in the Jazz Festival which has been held for the past 32 years in Lamberton.

Our elementary school offers many different times and places throughout the day for the students to remain physically active.

This is a view of a courtyard area where elementary students are able to interact while enjoying the great outdoors.

Our elementary campus is equipped with two computer labs to introduce computer technology to students at a younger age.

Families in our district are provided an opportunity to participate in the “Discovery Gardens” preschool program. The goals of the program are to: -increase interest in learning -improve social skills -ability to work in a group -increase self reliance -increase interest and excitement about school Each class meets 2 days /week ( 2 ½ -3 hours each class.) Classes are available in Lamberton and Jeffers

There are a large variety of classes offered to students at Red Rock Central. Besides just the general “core courses” and a variety of electives, college credit courses are provided as well. These courses include College Composition, PreCalculus, and Cisco Networking. Occupational training courses are also offered. They include Automotive and School to Work. School to Work allows students to find a job off campus, and the students receive a grade based on their employers evaluation. Some students utilize this program to work for RRCNet throughout the school day.

Our automotive shop was also included in the recent new addition. It provides students an opportunity to receive hands on experience for a possible future career in the automotive field.

At Red Rock Central we are proud to have a nonprofit organization that provides internet communications, , and trouble shooting to local residents. This business provides both dial-up and wireless internet. It also provides an opportunity for students to work and gain knowledge in this field. Other than one adult supervisor, RRCNet is operated and managed by students who are hired by the boss/ educator.

Here we have one of the five computers labs where students can enhance their educational experience. All computers have access to the internet and many other programs.

This power point presentation was designed by Jared Johnson and Shane Neperman. It is an FCCLA Star Event under the category Applied Technology. Our project is complete, but we have attached our addresses for additional thoughts or comments.
