Automatic Identification Systems

Overview of RFID System What is RFID? oGeneric term for technologies that use radio waves to automatically identify things. oHappens with a “Digital Information” that is Store in a chip. oThat microchip has an attached antenna (the chip and the antenna together are called an RFID tag). oThe antenna enables the chip to transmit the serial number information to a reader. oThe reader converts the radio waves reflected back from the RFID tag into digital information that can then be processed.
