An informative essay is used to explain or inform a reader about a topic.

A role model is a person you look up to. Before you begin writing, think about someone you look up to. Why do you admire this person? Write a composition in which you explain to your classmates whom you admire and why you admire this person.

“THE HERO IN MY EYES”  Step 1: In your notebook, write the name of the person you admire.  Step 2: Under the name of the person, write the 3 reasons why you admire them.  Step 3: Under each reason, write an example that proves your reason to be true.

 Step 4: Find a picture of the person you admire. (Bring Wednesday, Aug 28)  Step 5: Take your construction paper and fold it vertically.  Step 6: Visually follow the next steps to prepare your foldable that will lead to a written essay.

 Use your foldable to give a quick 1-2 minute speech about whom you admire and why you admire this person.
