God Is Not Through With Israel Romans 11 Chapter 10

Romans 11 applies to Israel, not church Five witnesses to prove there is a future in God’s plan for the Jews –Paul himself –Elijah –The Gentiles –The patriarchs –God Himself Paul himself –Paul, an Israelite –His conversion three times in Acts (8, 22, 26)

–A picture how Israel will be saved when Jesus returns to establish His kingdom on earth Israel’s future restoration and salvation ( Zech12:10-13:1) The nation shall see Him as He returns and recognize Him as the Messiah, repent, & receive (Zech 14:4, Acts 1:1, Rev 1:7) The Prophet Elijah (11:2-10) –Isaac, God’s elect –In Elijah’s time a remnant of true believers (7,000) Save by grace, not by works (Rom 11: 5-6)

Fulness (11:12) & receiving (11:15) The Patriarchs (11:16-24) –The lump of dough (16A) –Numbers 15:17-21 First part was offered to God that the entire lump belongs to God Basic idea: when God accepts the part, He sanctifies the whole God accepted Abraham and “the rest of the lump” as well –The Olive tree (16b-24) Symbol of Israel The root of the tree supports the tree
