2 Romans 11:1-29 Romans was written to the Church
Has God rejected Israel? Scripture that backs up your statement Genesis 17:7 “I will establish My covenant as an everlasting covenant between Me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come… Rom. 11:1 “God has not rejected His people, has He? May it never be…” Rom. 11:5 There is a remnant Rom. 11:7 What is Israel seeking? Entrance into the Kingdom: Salvation, which is only by God’s grace.

3 Romans 11:1-29 Israel did not stumble so as to fall; it was not permanent. God has NOT rejected Israel Their rejection was the Gentile’s salvation Jealousy of the Gentiles is to lead them to salvation Illustration of the olive tree, pictures branches broken off, wild ones grafted in and then broken ones grafted back in again. The tree does not die. This hardening lasts ONLY until the fullness of the Gentiles’ salvation has come in. 11:25 Then all Israel will be saved: All that believe 11:26

4 Matthew 24:1-31 Vs. 2 Destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D.

(this is a Jewish book) Vs. 5 Many false Christs will arise/mislead many Proclaiming the gospel begins in Acts and continues all over the world until the end Or Rev. 14:6-7 The eternal gospel is preached by the angel directly before the 7 bowls of wrath. Vs. 15 The Abomination of Desolation standing in the holy place signals the end Vs. 16 Those who are in Judea flee: Rev. 12 The woman flees

5 Matthew 24:1-31 Vs. 20 Fleeing on the Sabbath would be a problem for a Jew, not a Gentile. Vs. 21 Great Tribulation begins with the Abomination of Desolation Vs. 24 Great signs and wonders Rev The Beast and the False Prophet Vs. 26 No one will have to go into an inner room or into the wilderness to see Christ: Every eye shall see Him Rev. 1:7 Vs. 29 His coming will end the Great Tribulation Vs. 30 His coming will light up the darkened sky!

6 Zechariah 12-14 Zech. 12 “In that day”
There will be a siege against Jerusalem and Judah All the nations of the earth will gather against her Rev th bowl: Armageddon Vs. 5-8 God fights for them and they know it Vs. 9 God will destroy ALL the nations that come against her Rev. 19:15-18 Why will there be mourning? Acts 2, 3 & 4 Rev. 1:7 THEY pierced Him

7 Zechariah 12-14 Zech. 13 Cleansing of Israel
Idols’ names cut off from the land and not even remembered! Vs. 2 2/3 of Israel will be cut off – perish - during the Great Tribulation BEFORE the Lord’s coming vs. 8 1/3 of Israel will be left: those saved, refined, and tested vs. 9 Israel will call on His name and recognize Him as their God when He comes. When all Israel is saved Romans 11:26

8 Zechariah 12-14 Zech. 14 The Battle Vs. 2-5 Jesus fights the battle
Rev. 17:14 These will wage war against the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them…those who are with Him are the called and chosen and faithful. Rev. 19:14 and the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. Vs Sounds like the 1,000 year reign Rev. 20, 21:23-25; 22:5 Vs. 9 correlates with Rev. 11:15

9 Zechariah 12-14 Zech. 14:18 Some born during the 1,000 year reign; born TO the righteous, will not BE righteous Vs The Lord’s house is the Millennial Temple So: Is there a future for Israel? Has the church replaced Israel? Be ready to give an account for WHAT you believe and WHY you believe it. It can only be the WORD 2 Tim. 4:2-3 Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine……
