E-Brochure LANDSCAPE DESIGN in Cyprus

Visit at Cyherbia herb gardens with presentation about herbs and landscape design

The main Cyherbia garden is divided up into 9 different areas of herbs, each dealing with specific areas. The owner made a guided tour for us including the presentation about landscape design, specific herbs of Cyprus and their use in daily life. The 9 areas are; Aromatherapy herbs Cooking herbs Drinking herbs Herbs for Pests and Diseases Bathing and washing herbs Potpourri herbs Medicinal herbs Skin Care herbs And a typical Cypriot herbal garden area with a mixture of all the above! The Gardens

Cyprus Maze The maze came about back in It was a great success using sweetcorn as the hedges and covered an area of about 5 acres. Unfortunately the great need for water prevented the owner from continuing with the project and they came up with an alternative. At the moment over 600 m of twisting paths in between tall hedges took us to another dimension. We enjoyed 2000 square metres of 'green' fun. It was designed for kids, but we, adults, enjoyed it a lot as well. It was a great way to spend an afternoon, trying to solve the puzzles and to find the way out.

Woodland Walk We took a leisurely stroll around the Cyherbia woodland. The Island of Cyprus has been set out using the Cyprus tree, tall and columnar, with a pathway taking us around the coastline. We also saw many birds, reptiles and insects of Cyprus, such as lizards, praying mantis, butterflies, ladybirds, swallows and swifts. The walk guided us round the Island of Cyprus, taking us to various key points of interest, we visited Paphos, Limassol, Larnaca, Protoras and Kyrenia all in a single short walk. We discovered the many different types of trees indigenous to the island, each marked to describe the plant itself.
