OBJECTIVES To assist the partners to achieve maximum European added-value To deepen the knowledge about Mobility Management To learn from each other’s experience To establish a network of Mobility Management experts

TARGET GROUP European urban and regional policy makers involved in mobility issues: –Cities and regions partners in the PIMMS TRANSFER project; –Cities and regions not involved in the PIMMS TRANSFER project; –Other Institutions involved in the promotion of sustainable mobility;

METHODOLOGY (I) 3 Master Classes (one each year); Lead by the transfer expert (Erasmus University Rotterdam); Hosted by the project partners –2009 Almada, PT; –2010 Stockholm, SE; –2011 Treviso, IT; One week, full-time!!!

PROGRAMME Monday 23: Opening Session Tuesday 24: Urban Transport Policy – background and hot issues Wednesday 25: Sustainable Mobility – Modes and Marketing Thursday 26: Urban Road Pricing – Congestion Charge and Parking Policy Friday 27: Closing Session

METHODOLOGY (II) During the Master Class you will have to: Listen to several presentations given both by scholars and professionals; Work in groups in different kinds of assignments Talk and interact during the discussions on: –Urban transport problems and challenges; –Involvment of the private sector in sustainable mobility; –Marketing sustainable mobility; –Public participation in sustainable mobility; –Congestion Charge –Parking policy We are looking for volunteers on these topics!!

EXPECTATIONS What do we expect? –That you learn something new about Mobility Management; –That you go home saying ‘This week in Almada was worthwhile’ –That you meet interesting and nice people; –That you have a nice time in Almada; What do you expect? –We don’t know but we hope we will meet your expectations (at least part of)!

LIMITATIONS Mobility Management is a very broad topic, we will not cover all the issues you might be interested in; We only have one week!
