TEACHING MATHEMATICS VOCABULARY IN CONTEXT Miki Murray

Miki Murray says, “The vocabulary focus of my classroom is not an add-on to the curriculum, or more to teach; it is a way to teach mathematics. Comments?

She also says, “...avoid a rush to premature formal math language.” What does that mean in the classroom?
