Eric and Mary Jane have stopped to make sure that no cars are coming before they cross the street.

Eric and Mary Jane are crossing the street on the crosswalk.

Every time Eric and Mary Jane come to a corner, they stop and look to make sure that no cars are coming before they cross the street.

Eric and Mary Jane are walking on the sidewalk.

Eric is staying on the sidewalk with Mary Jane.

Eric is safe when he stays on the sidewalk.

A car has stopped to let Eric and Mary Jane cross the street.
