A CCELERATED R EADER

H OW DOES AR WORK ? Your teacher will test you with STAR Reader every quarter. This will give you your reading range (ex. 2.5 – 3.5) Your teacher will either write your range in your planner/folder or a particular level they would like you to start on. You will visit the library with an AR folder or you will have your range or level written in the front of your planner.

T HE AR L EVELS 1.0 – – – – – – – – 8.9

T HE AR S TICKERS The colored levels you saw on the last slide are the colors you will find on the spine of the AR book. The sticker will NOT tell you the exact level (3.5) of the book. You will need to open the back cover of the book to find out the AR Level. PLEASE use the shelf markers today as you select your AR books!!!
