SVSD’s bully prevention program would like to connect ideas from elementary students with secondary students and vice versa Paper dolls for you from CVE students NOTE: To change images on this slide, select a picture and delete it. Then click the Insert Picture icon in the placeholder to insert your own image.

In an effort to do that, CVE students have made us paper dolls with messages about how to be a good buddy.

They will be put on display outside of the guidance office. Stop and take a look at them some time. They are really cute and have some great messages for you.

In return, we will make “Superhero” paper dolls for the elementary students to display in their school. Each 4 th period class is being asked to make two boy dolls and two girl dolls. (Dolls provided – you just need to decorate them) We will send half to Rowan and half to CVE. If you have a little brother or sister at one of those schools, write the teacher’s name on the back and we will try to make sure it goes to that classroom. Your CARE class has until April 22 nd to complete the dolls. If you want to work on them on non-CARE activity period days, that is OKAY.

Please work together to: Determine what super-hero message your paper doll will have: Keep it kid-friendly Keep it positive Keep it simple Make it legible

Please work together to: Decide how you will decorate your paper doll: The elementary students used markers, crayons, glitter, googly eyes, etc. If you need markers or crayons, send someone to room 214 to borrow some. Be creative. Is there anyone in your class who would bring in some of the crafty supplies? We realize that most high school classes don’t have the above materials. If you have some at home, feel free to bring them in to decorate the dolls. Since they are superheroes, you may want to add a cape before you cut them out, or draw a superhero costume on it. Have fun with it.

Please do not: Send back a doll that is just written on with pencil. Try to make it colorful & something that the elementary students would enjoy looking at. Leave it to one person to do all the work.

When you finish (by April 22 nd please): Write the following on the back: Room number Grade Teacher name And then bring the dolls to: ROOM 214

If your class would like to send a class photo along with your paper dolls, you are welcome to (but it is NOT required). Have someone take a group photo of the class it to Mrs. I will print it and include it with your paper dolls. The elementary students would love to see who made these for them.

Want to BE a superhero? You could participate in The 6th Annual Pittsburgh Superhero Foundation 5K Run/Walk and 1K Family Run. Where? North Park Pool Loop S. Ridge Rd and Hemlock Allison Park, PA When?Saturday, April 26, 9:30 AM (EDT) Costumes? Not required but they sure do add to the fun.
