Open University Centre Lifelong learning … is every type of learning - informal, non-formal and formal, with the aim to improve knowledge, skills and competences.  Diploma and degree studies  acquiring a new profession  updating knowledge and improving job skills  gaining new knowledge in the field of interest formal education (university studies for adults) UCE

Open University Centre CE is any form of education, vocational or general, resumed after an interval following the continuous initial education (EUCEN) UCE  professional development and training courses  liberal education and courses on the field of interest Continuing education

Open University Centre QA in university studies for adults  accreditation of universities and curricula in every 7 years –self-evaluation report teaching process, organisational structure and management –assessment by external experts Firmalising with documents Meetings with staff and students –assessment report submitted to accreditation centre –Higher Education Quality Assessment Council makes the decision and the minister will endorse it with written order

Open University Centre QA in UCE  Strategic plan until 2008 –The main aim is to offer wide scale high quality CE courses according to the needs of society To increase the volume of CE and diversify target groups Attention to the quality

Open University Centre QA activities  requirements for training programmes –essence of a training, endorsement of the programme, responsibilities for the organisation and context etc  requirements for certificates  motivation of academic staff –for developing continuing education courses, courses for adults, ICT based courses, using new methods, etc  skills of teachers and administrators and customer-oriented attitude –courses and seminars for teachers and administrators  continuing education programmes –balance between lessons and independent work, theory and practical skills –requirements for the study materials and handouts and more support
