Energy Conservation The Art And Craft Club 8G4

Why to conserve energy?  It is so obvious that we save energy so we can use it later. It is because we have less amount of water to produce electricity, or to use it and less of fossil fuel(natural gas).

Places where energy is wasted at house and its solutions. This is what we did and found the bill reducing and we are saving for the future.

Problem  Lights are left on even when they are not needed. Solution  We can switch on the lights when needed.

Problem  TV and the computers are switched on most of the time. Solution  We should switch off computer and TV when not needed.

Problem  Water is wasted by leaving taps on when not needed Solution  Take care of these things even more.

Problem  Leaving the gas on can also waste Natural Gas Solution  Be more careful

 This is how water and electricity are wasted at house in general. And if we just concentrate a bit more and switch off lights and close water taps when not needed.

Some Solution…  Turn your refrigerator down. Refrigerators account for about 20% of Household electricity use  Make sure your dishwasher is full when you run it and use the energy saving setting, if available, to allow the dishes to air dry

 Select the most energy-efficient models when you replace your old appliances  Wrap your water heater in an insulating jacket, which costs just $10 to $20.

Bill Before Conservation

Bill After Conservation

How can Conserving Energy be related to other subjects?

Producing Electricity  Although there are many ways of producing electricity such as Solar power which takes energy from sun or tidal power which takes energy from water waves, but we use “Burning Of Fossil Fuel” which is easier than planting machines.

Stop Wasting Energy, Stop Global Warming  If we waste energy we are increasing Global Warming.  Electricity is produced by burning fossil fuels which increases Global Warming

Electricity Consumption

I have a movie on “CONSERVING ENERGY”

You can be the one who starts, you can lead your friends or your family to save energy.

 I hope you have heard of Spider Web.  Lets make a spider web with around 6-8 advantages of wasting energy.
