ENERGY CONSERVATION DONE BY : THE ART CRAFT GROUP

2 FEW SENTENCES ABOUT ENERGY CONSERVATION
Energy conservation refers to efforts made to reduce energy consumption. Energy conservation can be achieved through increased efficient energy use, in conjunction with decreased energy consumption and/or reduced consumption from conventional energy sources. An energy conservation act was passed in clarification needed.

3 Energy conservation can result in increased financial capital, environmental quality, national security, personal security, and human comfort.[citation needed] Individuals and organizations that are direct consumers of energy choose to conserve energy to reduce energy costs and promote economic security. Industrial and commercial users can increase energy use efficiency to maximize profit.

4 Energy Conservation in the Home
Hot Water Repair leaky faucets. Reduce the temperature setting of your water heater to warm (120 F). Add an insulating wrap to an older water heater. For a newer model, check your owner’s manual. Install low-flow showerheads. Wash clothes in warm or cold water using the appropriate water level setting for the load. Replace water heater, when needed, with an energy efficient energy .

6 HOW TO SAVE ENERGY About a quarter of most home electricity use is for light. If you switch to energy-saving compact fluorescent light bulbs, CFLs, you'll cut the electricity you use for lighting by 75 to 80 percent. You'll save about 30 per bulb during its lifespan. You can lower your cost of heating water by installing flow restrictors on faucets and by wrapping your water heater in insulation.

7 HOW TO SAVE ENERGY IN SCHOOL
Have each class name an energy helper. This person will check on their classmates and see if they are turning off computers, lights, overheads, projection units, and other electronic machines when they are not using them. Keep all classroom and office doors closed to keep heat and air conditioning in the rooms.

8 Keep lights off in rooms, hallways, and bathrooms as much as possible before and after school.
Turn the heat down after school and on weekends. Make energy savings posters to put up throughout your school. These posters will show the word “OFF” with an arrow pointing down. Put these posters by light switches, computers, and TV’s.
